..you guys are the most knowledgable Honda guys I have found.

Whats the difference between a VT750C2 and a VT750DC. One of them has 1 carb, the other has 2.

I dont like the smallish 745cc for a guy my size, but I do like the lightweight and the belt drive.

The 750 C2 is Honda's new 750 Shadow Spirit 750. Almost everything has been changed just a little bit, starting with the shaft drive. The front tire is also larger and skinnier. Go to www.hondanews.com for complete details.

We are riding both a 750 Shadow Spirit and 1300C right now. I really like them both. For around town, tight spaces, and parking without worrying about too much I take the 750. For any extended trips and especially the freeway I take the 1300C. I haven't left the 1300C alone in parking lots just yet....sticky fingers.

After riding the 1300C and getting right on the 750 Spirit it really seems as though I can really throw the 750 around more going slower. However, my grin is much bigger after riding the 1300C around for a while (hit 92 MPH on the Blue Ridge Pkwy today....all in the interest of breaking it in properly).:icon_peac

Follow up post,

LK,

I saw in your other thread that you may be considering a 750 for you and a 600 for your sister. My wife, 5'4" and 115 lb, had never ridden a motorcycle herself until the 750. We spent a lot of time on basics and yes, she dropped while stopping in the driveway. It happens. We also took the MSF course and spent 2 1/2 days in a controlled classroom/motorcycle environment. We still practice these drills for a few minutes before every ride. (It helps to have a parking lot between the house and where we like to ride.)

The 600 has 4 gears and is air cooled (I believe) while the 750 has 5 and is liquid cooled. It makes a difference. You can get a good 750 for around 4K a lot of places. I bought mine on Ebay and have been happy with it. I also learned a lot about what accessories I might like on my 1300.

Just some thoughts,

Gills
