Just did my oil. Used Honda filter and Shell T6 5-40 full synthetic. Awesome 30 minute project. Thanks for all the threads that made this so easy. Paid for the 1 gallon Wally world jug and got it for $21. Great deal I think.

Not only this task, but you'll be amazed at what you tackle yourself on your bike, just because the resources are all here..... It's like having 50 bike mechanic's sitting in you living room with you explaining how to do anything... (except they can't get to your beer in the fridge... :mosh: SWEEEET..)

Oh MY, $300 for an oil swap? That is robbery! My local dealer has embraced HD and Honda anything is just an afterthought; sadly I will be using the net to further my custom addiction. :D Next up, a trunk and maybe a Memphis Shades kit...

Take that money you saved on the oil change and buy the tools you need for your next project, that new chrome thingy, or throw a little towards a sponsorship at the Cafe.

This site will save you money if your'e willing to put out the effort.

Ya could of saved even more for the filter. Wally World got filters that fit for less than $5.00. What you'll pay for Honda brand is way over what they are worth. I do a change 3 to 4000 miles no matter what so, a cheap filter will do just as good as a big brand name.
