Best to replace them. They are crush washers and will seat best if not re-used. I usually get a half dozen or so from my local honda shop. Go ahead and get the crush washers for your final drive as well. My local shop has them for about .60 each. You might can find them online a few cents cheaper but unless your ordering other parts or supplies the shipping will kill you. Doesn't make alot of sense to pay 10 bucks to ship 5 dollars worth of washers.

It's not absolutely necessary but is a "best practice". I reused mine twice, never had a problem (leak). But on the third go around I went ahead and replaced them. I also purchase a set of magnetic oil drain plugs from Gold Plug LLC. I run these in all of my vehicles. I figured every ounce of precaution is also a "best practice".

I use 12mm drain plug washers that I get from autozone. They are copper or brass and have a rubber coating where the threads seal.

Best to replace the washer since it is a crush washer. You can get them at any Honda automotive dealer if the bike dealer is to far. They are very cheap insurance against a leak.

You can also purchase pt. no. 94109-12000 from PowersportsPlus.com for $0.42 each. I purchased 20 gaskets for $8.40 plus shipping $1.75, total $10.15. Wishing you a nice day.

One of mine is flatter than a pancake will have to peal it off and put on a new one soon.

Been on there for every oil change since the bike was new and now over 75,000 and I still don't leak.

better yet I think I will make a half dozen tomorrow out of some 6061 alum and have a few extras.
12.25 mm x 20 mm x 3 mm thick should do.

Well good that answers that question,

and also my question about exhaust gaskets

Now...an exhaust gasket is a different animal all together. I have not changed a drain plug gasket, but have always done so with exhaust. It should be changed if you are changing pipes. A leaky exhaust isn't as physically noticeable as a leaky drain plug, but could cause some problems for you.
