I have a '06 1800N that came with Corbin hard Beetle bags and a Mustang (brand) driver's seat, passenger seat and driver backrest. I don't want to scrap the entire seat and start over, but does anyone know of a decent looking rear seat and passenger backrest system, preferably quick-connect/disconnect that will work with the Corbin bags?

All suggestions welcome.

Been awhile since I've seen them up close, but I believe the Corbin bags mount tight to the fender, not leaving any room for a normal passenger backrest that bolts to the fender rails...Meaning if you want a passenger backrest, you have to buy one of their seats too...One more reason I really don't care for Corbin products...Can't really mix and match with other brands....

Czechpleez, post a pic of your bike! (need one more post to do so)
And Darwin, I think he looking for a two piece seat (the Corbin dual tourer is a one piece seat.)

I need the option to ride here solo too.....

Ah, my bad, he's just looking for the rear seat. I know almost nothing about Mustang seats, but it's probably safe to presume that he'll need to purchase a Mustang rear seat to attach to his Mustang front seat.

The way I read it, he already has a Mustang seat (both sections) and it has the driver backrest...He wants a passenger backrest that will work with the Corbin bags...The Corbin bags bolt tight to the fender, and don't allow room for the normal (Hondaline/Cobra/etc) backrest that has brackets that bolt to the fender rails...Corbin does shit like that...You gotta buy all their stuff as nothing else works with their products...:gah:

Which is one reason you don't see any Corbin stuff on my ride...Another is I'm just not crazy about their styling, and they're too damned expensive for my cheap ass...lol...

Thanks Czechpleez, I always liked the N fender or R fender with Beetle bags and and then when I saw the QQ fender and bags, I knew what I had to have; saw this one all set up and scored a great deal - couldn't be happier with it.

Cheers.

I have a 1300C with beetle bags and am having the same issue. I've been looking around and saw that kuryakyn has a backrest that mounts using the same mounting points as the passenger seat. It's called the plug and play, part number 1607. The only problem I've seen is that it's only made for the Interstate. My plan is to order it and mod it for my ride. Let you know how that works out.

Did you find the link on how to use Hondaline backrest brackets/lug-rack with Corbin bags by chance? Any help or guidance is appreciated!
