Did a search but found nothing on this topic. Can anyone point me to a site that sells extensions? A 3/4 or full-face is almost impossible to get pinned thru the D-ring. Might have to settle for bar-end locks or something to lock 2 helmets(see sig). Has anyone else bitched about this?

I got the grip end locks for the Kury ISO's, works well. I also took off the factory lock assembly and installed it on some 1800 bag mounts I have. Just chaged the tumbler out, mounts on the left side front just below the driver seat on the factory 1800 bag mounts. Bolts right up to the 1300, that way two helmets can be secured.

You can get extensions at almost any motorcycle dealer or even ebay, about $5-7.

Thanks guys. Hanging two helmets over the mirrors doesnt cut it. Ordered the Kury bar locks for the ISO's but it just looks funky like Xmas ornaments on a tree imho.

Cronic PM me, I might hit up Cook's Friday and/or Sat am while the ladies do their "Black Friday" thing. :)

P.S.
It still doesnt explain AHM's design/location of the factory lock with the rear shock interference.

Helmet Locks

I don't use the stock lock at all. It's in the big green can. There really bad about the rattle anyway. The kury grip locks sound like the best deal if you have ISOs. Or be like me and your helmet looks so bad no one would steal it anyway. :D

I just went up to the local hardware store and picked up 2 links of small chain and a lock, now if i just had place to stow all this while riding..........
I did one better. I went by the local police station and picked up a cable type gun safety lock. It's the perfect size for attaching things to my bike and it was free.

I've forgotten mine even has one underneath the bags. Couldn't get to it with the bags on there anyway. I put my helmet on my sissy bar and no one has ever messed with it. I don't lock it up or anything. I think generally most people are scared of bikers and wouldn't mess with their stuff.

Pulled mine and ordered the metal plate that goes under license plate (Kury I think) then I mounted it to the other side so I can hang two helmets from the rear plate. It took a little drilling but is pretty well hidden and still usable. Truth be told though, I rarely use it. I just lay my helmet over the mirror. I've never had one stolen. But it is legal to ride without here, so few people that want a helmet don't already have one and the others don't want anything to do with one.
