Hello all! So my turn signal cover fell off (guess the set screw was never installed and I never noticed). I was trying to find a replacement cover, or a screw to reinstall it with, but I have had no luck as of yet. SoOOooo, I am thinking about upgrading to LED turn signals. I am sure I can do the wiring myself, but I have some questions?

1) How hard is to get to the wires?
2) If I am upgrading to LED, is there anything I should be concerned with? New wiring? New battery? Conversion kits?
3) Recommendations are always welcome.
4) I would like to keep my current headlight and taillight configuration as much as possible. New handlebars are in my future, but the lights are more of a priority to me for now.

Easiest to just get the kury deep dish bezels that replace stock lenses and led replacement bulbs or inserts.

Man, those look great!! Did you use the same bulbs in the back? Is the relay in the headlight housing like the Shadow? I might take this idea and ride with it!
Turn signal relay is under right side cover.

This is a turn signal relay that fits exactly in the rubber boot behind the fuse block on the right side. This digital relay is all you need when upgrading to led turn signals to keep the flash rate correct. DO NOT get conned into using a load equalizer, still sold by a lot of turn signal vendors. These digital relays cover a much lower power draw by the leds where the old relay needs a much higher power to function. A load equalizer is a resistor, generating heat and making the old relay see the usual demand for power. Benefits of leds are very small power requirements, little to no heat, very bright, long lasting, usually water tight.
So, just replace that old stock relay and mix/match your led turn signals (complete units or led bulbs). You go with led bulbs until you can afford the Kuryakan led deep set lens with led light.

I replaced my turn signals with Custom Dynamics conversion kit. I like the full lens look of diodes plus went with smoked lenses. Plug and play for the most part. LEDs use stock bulb socket and you can get a new flasher relay with it which is down on the right side behind the cover below the seat. Only hitch is I had to take the dash off to solder another section of wire to prevent back feeding issues. This solution doesn’t however, address the issue of finding a new screw, as the new smoked lenses did not come with new mounting screws
