When I crank the throttle, my RPMs climb pretty quickly and then seem to slow from 5000 up. Do your bikes wind up evenly or is my tuning screwed up? Just wondering.
5000 is only around 500 from hitting the rev limiter so there isn't anything left to rev to.
Rule of thumb
1, best main for top end
2, best needle position for roll on the throttle
3, proper setting of the A/F screw which is for idle mixture only.
It may just be my way of thinking, but the power peak is long before you hit the rev limiter so there's really no reason to rev it that high between shifts other than to just hear it scream. If you were to take it to a drag strip and made two passes, 1st shifting at the peak and the 2nd one at the redline you'd notice the 1st run would be a much faster time.
