I’m going to be getting a custom rear fender soon and I want to be able to lower the rear of the bike a little bit. Enough to make a difference In height but also still perform well.

Does anyone know if 11 inch shocks would be too short and where I would be able to find a set that would fit an 1800?

Not looking to spend the money on air ride, pretty much made my mind up on that. Thanks.

Depending on the fender cut you can go as low as 10.5”.

all depends on how the fender is designed and whether or not you are maintaining the OEM internal fender sub framing.

The new fender will not be using the OEM but will have it’s own subframing done

Progressive makes 11" shocks. You won't find a better brand out there short of air-ride. Last year they were having supply chain issues from China like everyone else. I ordered their chrome 444's March 15, they finally arrived June 29, last year. Their pricing has also jumped to well over $700/ pr. The have limited lifetime warranty.
