the bike has been sitting for a while now. recently rode it and had issues. replaced the FPR and the plugs.

then when i saw the N light flickering i got a new switch and i go to change it and it starts pouring out fluid. i couldnt get it the new one back in fast enough and needless to say its empty.

now i do not know where to fill it back up. i can not find any lit on where the damn fill is for it nor anything on what fluid to put back in.:banghead:

this is where i am stuck. i believe once this is fix it should run like new again. if the new switch didnt fix i am sure i have to inspect if the ground fix was done.

any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks

It would have to be engine oil, as the clutch and trans are lubed by the oil. Pull the dipstick and it will be low or dry. this is where the oil is dumped back in as well. might as well get a new filter, and pull the two drain plugs on the bottom of the engine and complete the process.

neutral switch.

so the gear oil is the same resiviour as the motor oil?

i checked the oil and it was still full. now will it drop once i crank it and fill the gear box?

i did oil change already after fpr was fixed. synthetic 10w40 and new filter.

idk if the fpr is the cause but i had a massive gas leak and it filled the combustion chamber then leaked passed the seals into oil. thats why i did oil change. seems to be the culprit so just hve to change oil after a coup[le rides again.

it came out of the hole where the neutral switch screws into.

the dipstick says it has oil in it. if its the same oil as engine oil and you fill it in dipstick hole then im fine ill figure out the rest.

that was my main concern was what type of fluid goes in he gearbox and where to fill.

gearbox oil/engine oil same is what i gathered.

thanks

Now I get it. The switch screws into the case, so some oil should come out, especially if the bike's on the side stand. Yep, engine, tranny and clutch all use the same oil...one big hollow case for all of them. If the dipstick reads full, dont worry about it.

Yeah it reads full but on side stand.

Now what would make the gas leak into the combustion chamber on off position? I think its still leaking

Sounds like you have a Injector stuck open ????

that does not sound logical at all. ive never heard of an injector stuck open. ive heard of them becoming clogged never open tho.

i changed the regulator because there was gas in the vacuum line on it. so i assume it was leaking through the vacuum hose into the breather/TB then going into the combustion chamber.

i havent had time to really mess with it since i changed the switch to see if the gas is still leaking so i hope it stopped.

thanks alot all for the help. hopefully this weekend i can finish working on it and see if the gas is still leaking and check the oil levels.
