Last year I participated in the Ride Across Maryland as an individual, to raise funds to support the fight against breast cancer. I did it in honor of a friends sister, "LC", who is a young mom with 4 small children who had been diagnosed with stage 3 invasive breast cancer.

I have already registered as an individual for the 2011 ride, and not sure if anyone else is planning on participating as an individual or in a group.

I am happy to report that I have received my first donation for the Ride Across Maryland. A gentleman from NW Tennessee who had lost his wife to breast cancer made a donation to the cause.

Although we are all feeling the pinch in these tough economic times, if each one of us made a $5.00 donation to the event, we could make a huge difference in fight against breast cancer.
