I recently purchased an Ultimate seat for my 2008 1300C and now would like to bring my stock bars back a couple of inches. I believe that risers are what will bring them back:hmm2: Any suggestions on risers that will do this without having to change out the wiring?

I made mine out of 2 chrome sockets....nice lift!
I had the 2 inch kewlmetal but it wasnt enough for me.
I still have them. Lemme check them out. I would sell cheap.

Yup the choices for the C model are limited. There is the homemade mod using sockets, there is a solid 1 piece block style riser and there is the Kewal Metal risers that Backjudge1300 referred too. Kewal Metal makes 2 types, I have the large version on my ride. Here are a couple of pics

I just put on a set of scootworks risers. They look like the socket mod, but are made of billet aluminum. I am happy with them. All cables were long enough. The only change I had to do was sliding the front brake hose up in the mount by the fender. The rubber grommet on the hose is glued to the barke hose. It will peel off and you can move it down to still use the stock hose bracket. The cables still have some slack, but not much. Stock honda R cables are around $13 each for the clutch and each throttle cable if they are too tight for your taste.

Ok here we go, I know this questioned has been asked and answered many times. When considering the risers that will work on 1300 R model. I get a common answer of 4" without any cable modifications. OK, I am looking for a hard and fast answer. My stock risers are approximately 1" now does and mean I will need to purchase 5 1/2" risers ? Does the amount of pullback take away from the 4" I can go. I hope I made my question clear enough. Then next question are the risers on Ebay equal to the supply vendors online? Also do they normally come with mounting bolts or are they generally purchased seperately.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Seems the 5 inch overall riser is a 3 1/2 riser at the bars..The Harley ones are cheaper because they use a standard SAE bolt thread, as far as I can tell.. I will let ya know after I get mine on.

Threadjacking....Sorry! I'm 6ft with fairly long arms, but since I put on an Ultimate low rider, I feel like the reach to the bars is too far. My arms are about straight. I have an 04, S. Any suggestions for risers that will bring the grips up about two inches and back about two inches as well? I know from searching that this topic has been hashed over about to death but I still have a few questions. When a riser is listed as 2", does that mean 2 inches more than the stock risers?

Sorry....read the posts a little more closely....I think I get the idea. Gotta measure my risers and add whatever the dimention of rise I want. Stock S risers are essentially no pullback?

I put taller bars on mine and still had to add kewl metal risers on mine (the short ones) and only had to move my cables behind the bars. I did later put on C cables and moved them back in front of the bars because I didn't want them being kinked into my tank. I have great reach now.

Well I got these $35 risers on today. I had to buy some 1/2 by 13.. 2 inch long bolts. Drill out the top tree just one size larger to 1/2". The only cable that needed moved was the clutch cable, put it on the back side.

Now for the glitch...They hit the speedo housing at full lock left and right.. I TIG fused a 3/8 nut on the lower tree each side for added steering stop..Ground them down to the amount I wanted..

Works fine..My elbows are more inward now keeping my shoulders down making it more comfortable for me.
