Got my 1st VTX1300c bout a month ago. Joined the site 2 weeks ago. Will be adding pics as I add accessories.

So here is my question...... Just bought a set of river road compact slant saddlebags. Would like to know where the best spots are to attach the quick release straps. As of yet I do not have a saddlebag bracket....checking around online for a nice set. Dealer did not have a set for my 08 custom in stock.

If they are the throw overs like this

then put them under the rack seat over the fender and use a support like this

I have the throw overs that overlap and lace at the top. I punched more holes in them so they ride higher and then plCed under my passenger seat. Mine have been on my bike since 2004 and I don't have any supports behind then and there is no way they can get to the tire.
