I was at a 911 memorial event today at HD. I saw a Rune for the first time. Its a really nice bike! I also saw a HD that I liked.

I was picking up some fast food the other day and while paying at the drive through, I saw four Wings and a Rune go by. I almost left without my food so I could follow them just to check out the Rune. Beautiful bikes IMO.

My first time seeing one too. Here in Elkhart. Indiana at the 911 event at Hoosier HD. Big,red, low and mean. Must be some sweet smooth power!

We've got one at the store ... it's a dark red/burgundy color - I've sat on it a couple of times and although it's heavy, it seems to be very well balanced.

I'm dealing with a guy who has had some serious back surgeries after being hit by a semi (on 2 separate occasions!!!) He can lift it easy enough, and hopefully the smooth running engine should stop him suffering from the shake rattle and roll he was getting from his HD before his second crash... apparently the cab of semi ended up on the back of his truck!!

I also got to drive a Valk for the first time ... really nice, and plenty more power, but I have to say; for the sort of riding I'm doing, it's hard to beat the 1300 as a basic work-horse commuter bike!

If anyone's interested, I know where there's a brand new 2004 Rune sitting and it's for sale... At this very same Honda dealership, they also have a new '79 CBX for sale right along side of it, both with zero miles... I asked the owner how the warranty would be covered if I bought one, and he told me that he would just handle it in-house for the 12mos/12k..

The CBX is $25,000. The Rune is only $24,000
