Ok I just got my Edge Saddle bags in the mail. I really like them. They are BIG......

The problem I have is they wont mount up without moving the turnsignals. I am hoping to find a lower profile set to put on so I dont have to totally relocate them. Could someone show me what kind you have that mount in the factory hole. I would also need a clearance measurement from the fender to the outside of the light.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Yes but how far do they stick out is the question?
Fromt he kury site:

"Replace those clunky stock turn signals on the back of your bike with these perfectly sized 2-1/4" bullets. The 1" long universal mount keeps these lights tucked close to your bike for a smooth clean look. Use the large or small rubber mount adapter (whichever one best suits your application) & bolt them right on! The perfect match for our front Constellation Driving Lights"

Hope that helps out. I'm gonna be on the search for some new lights in the near future too.:choppersm

Thanks I saw these I just need to know how far they stick out fron the fender face. I only have 2 1/4 inches of room. Plus I only want to buy a set once.

Your an electrician lets just bend up some conduit.:icon_poke.
What? What? not the direction you wanted to go.:D

Let me bend up a set with matching Ape Hangers to match.. We can use your bike as Guinea Pig....:icon_mrha

I had a set of hardstreet slim hard bags on my '06 1800c. They hit the stock turn signals as well. I removed the stock signals and took off the black rubber adapter at the base and remounted the signals. It moved them in closer to the fender and didn't cost me a dime. Keep in mind you will loose the index tab so you have to manually line them up. I added a rubber washer to provide a little vibration isolation.

I have some smaller LED bullets, but the problem is they don't fill the big stock hole.
Don't know about those Kury's, but the other problem is the curve of the fender. Most of the signal stalks come straight out, so if they flush mount to the fender they will be angled in, kind of cross eyed. The stock signals actually mount in a recess that is perpendicular to the bike, and have the rubber flange that covers the big hole.

I think the Kury's mentioned above will not mount on our "r" bikes, I belive they are designed for fender rail mount.

The rear led silver bullets that mount on the 1300 or 1800 R/S/T bikes have been discontinued, but are still out there. Kuryakyn Part No. 1620 and I saw one on eBay Item No. 110825670650.

Not sure if you can tell the difference, but here are two shots: 1) with stock signals, and 2) with LED silver bullets. The hard bags touched the stock signals, but the second picture shows how there is alot of space between them and the silver bullets.

Thank you for the info. This is what I am looking for. Do these have to any special modulators to get them to work. Thanks

Nope, they come with a load equalizer that you use, so it blinks correctly....I just tapped into the wires under the right hand side cover. All the directions will be included in the pkg. BTW, the lenses are clear, but the signals are red when they flash.

Not sure if there is a difference between the 09 and earlier versions. Kuryakyn Part No. 1620 is discontinued so probably not the same item you found on Direct Line Parts. I don't think the current models fill in the fender mount hole on the "R," just the discontinued model (which you can still find on eBay and works on '03-'09 on the 1300).
