First off, I would like to say hello to everyone. This is my first post. Does anyone know if HK makes a sideburner for the 2008 VTX2008F? I have a VTX 1300R with Sideburner and love the looks and sound. I am planning to purchase the 2008 VTX 1800F within the next 2 months and want to put a sideburner exhaust on this bike. I have seen the exhaust for VTX 1800C, will that one fit on the "F"? If anyone knows I would appreciate the info. This is a great site, and I have already learn alot by reading it!!

I have a set in the box I want to do my ground fix first before they go on.

Thanks to you all for the welcome. I guess I will take the same chance when I get the bike. There is alot of sharp looking exhaust out there, but in my opinion, the sideburners look the best. I get asked about my exhaust on about every ride.... now I have to get the dealer to get right on the price of the 1800F. I'm hoping to get them down to 10K out the door...It is a 2008 left over. I have decided to convert my 1300 to a touring bike with a fairing and hard bags, just can't get rid of it.....It has been a great bike. I want to lower and rake the 1800. This site is what has given me the ideas. BigBoreVTX, let me know if you get those to work. Thank you! tmatch

DrRadar, you are close. We problably know some of the same people.

Thanks T-town, your bike is the one that gave me hope that sideburners will fit a 1800F....With your name, I guess I can figure out who you are pulling for in the nationalship game...It pains me, but I guess I will be pulling for the Tide that day too.

Any exhaust designed for the C model will fit an F model. They have the same frame and forward footrest locations. The passenger footrests are higher on the F than those on the C and will give more clearance. I owned an F and bolted on the C stock exhaust and had no problems at all. The sideburners will bolt on as well.

as for the price of a new F look here. http://www.cycletrader.com/Motorcyc...01&radius=400&keyword=vtx1800f&sort=year:desc

Oh yeah.. ROLL TIDE brother! It's cool.. I pulled for Auburn last year as much as it hurt.. If we pull it off we will have back to back to back National Championships from the state of Alabama.. wonder if that's ever been done before?

In case you don't already know this, the 1800 is not gonna sound even close to the sound of your 1300....The 1300 is a single-pin crank design, where the 1800 is a dual-pin crank design.....The single-pin design gives the 1300 it's "Harley-ish" sound, versus the 1800 which sounds more like a big-block Chevy V8....

Good news to me too! I have heard the 1800 with stock exhaust, but have not heard with after market exhaust, except for youtube....and I really can't tell much from that. Thank you for all the feed back, I appreciate it!!

Thanks Kalten, the bike I am looking at is a 2008 VTX 1800F spec 2.....that site shows me that 10K is a fair price. Looks like you can get a 2007 spec 1 alot cheaper....might have to look at that.

Terry, if it were warmer I would meet you somewhere and let you hear mine in person. When are you looking to buy? If it's going to be a month or so before you make a decision you can hear mine first. My parents live near Jacksonville and I don't get there enough so it's really not that far out of my way if I visit them.

I'm on night shift the next two weeks. I need to go to Bessemer and pick up some helmet pads, pm me your normal work hours and what area B'ham you work in and we'll figure out a good time to meet up.
