I have a problem with butterfly2...b2

She is riding at a slight angle...

Like she was dropped.

At first i thought it was the handlebars...so i did the loosen the trees and hit it with a mallet trick..

That took a lot of the the twist out. A lot.

So now it feels like my boody is a little tilted.

I checked the bushings and one on the brake side is a lot worn...so i ordered some from McMasters.

My question is will a bad bushing cause your boody to feel low...lol...slightly crooked?

Yeah, and it will feel squirrelly in curves too.

do you mean bike tilting to the right. If so is the bike stock and if so because of the heavy Pipes on the right side. It's like hanging a brick on one side. Those that change their pipes solve that problem.

At the top of this thread is photos of shock bushings. It shows the correct and incorrect position.

I think you are on the right track. Donut is correct about stock exhaust, they are HEAVY.

If you look at the center bolt of the shock and you see it is not centered or the black bushing looks like a moon then it's guaranteed bad, every stock bike I've seen looks that way.

Kind of shocking and disappointing when you see what they put in there, and they expected them to last?

And (stock) shock bushings go bad on a brand new bike sitting in the showroom too...Weight is on the bushings and makes them oblong just sitting...

Yup Yup. They are bad.

I ordered new ones and will be installing them on both bikes next week when my new bars come in.

Putting super radius bars on b2 because the handlebars are slightly bent. I let someone ride her for a second opinion and it was unanimous...

Will be doing the internal wiring on that job...super radius T bars...

from what i have read the bars should take stock R/S cables but i am getting a set of motion pros plus 2" for her anyway... I like the shiny silver and b2 is chromed out.

Very cool. How has she been doing other than that? I have not heard much from you since you put in the new engine and did your other work with her. Are you loving the Ultimate X still? I may be coming down your direction towards the end of next month. Wouldn't mind doing a ride part of the way with you. I am going to try to hit every state. Might not get them all but, we will see how many I can hit. I have to visit my son in NC and I want to do the dragon. I have some people I would love to give a hug to and you would be one of them. I hope all is well and I really hope you are getting lots of ride time in.

about to do some customizing and finish the last bit of repairs on b2 this wednesday...

Going to give her some balls, engine guard, new bushings, super bars, avon grips and a new horn...then we are hitting the road for 3 days...yeah!

Cool, where are you going? On a Texas tour? That is really cool. I am so glad you got on this site and made your bikes your own. Really cool. Remember, you have to post pictures. Not sure if you followed mine but, I have been posting pictures all over. I got a bunch of work done and then I had to focus on life. Now just decide to pack everything up and while times are hard around the US, I will just go ahead and visit everywhere I can and decide later where I want to relocate to. Thinking Texas would be number one of my choices. I sure love your Governors and Rene Paul. I love the idea my guns would be welcome and I love the fact people there have the same beliefs I grew up to know as true. The only thing I would not like is the extreme heat. I have to check it out, I have never been there before. Either way, I will try to give you a couple of weeks notice before I head out/if I head out. I really want to! Ride safe!

why are the super radius on back order until about the 17th of April...B2 is sitting in the garage looking all out of place. What is Drag Specialties doing? and now Cruiser performance only sell Cruiser Performance at full price plus shipping...WTF

Figured out the problem...i put some balls on her and the old bearings the top one was cracked so the bars were tilted because of it...wow i cannot believe those bearings...

All balls are the best!!
