Hi Fellers
Before Christmas I noticed a splutter and firing only on one cylinder when I started up. Fishingfool helped me out and I checked and adjusted the connections at the battery. It started and I ran the bike a mile or so. The bike has been in my garage for a few weeks and yesterday I started up. Splutter, splutter, firing on one cylinder again, but this time it then cut out and won't start.

I did put some fuel in the tank from my fuel can (plastic). The fuel wasn't that old. The only work I've done recently was to the indicators, and it ran perfectly well after that.

Before I get the tools out, does anyone have any ideas?

I took of the tank and did the ground fix (coil bracket to frame) and the secondary (frame next to the neutral battery terminal). I read on the site there is supposed to be a common ground (the photo with the link shows the area next to the oil filter) but I can't see any wire there.

Has anyone any idea if my 2001 1800C has a common ground to the engine?
