what seems to be the problem with your installation? did you try to kit while it is layed out on the floor before you installed it? make sure it works before you go through the trouble of installing it....also, on some of the wire harness that they send, you need to ground the ground wire on the 2nd lead even though you are not using it, otherwise, it wont light up.

It wound up that I had a couple of loose pins in the 9 pin connector in the headlight so even my normal light was blinking on and off. I then got frusain trated that most of the wiring was to short. I will install again this winter while I have time to spare. I really hate doing anything during riding weather.

Sounds like time for a Tech Session at your house Driver51? What do you say Chuck? I will be back in about a month. Around the first of December? Want to throw a Christmas party? I know a couple of bike shops that might want to get involved as well, may be?

Right on, I did my valves and would be more than happy to help. I am leaving to Colorado on Monday, taking my bike and trailer. I did my valves, exhaust, Seafoam (I love that stuff), put on a new front tire today and realigned the forks, replaced all of the anti freeze, lubed the rear splines, installed Dyna beads, changed oil and filter. I think I have my things taken care of but, will be due for more when I get back I am sure. I love riding the Rockies!

Rockies sound great I haven't been there yet. Be careful and watch for Winter storms. You never know this time of the year.
Let me know for sure when you are returning and I will get a session set up for my place. Plenty of room probably get 4 or 5 bikes in the garage with room to work around them.

Does everyone that gets the DDM kit order it straight from their website? I was going to order one this morning but $20 shipping seems insane! Maybe it's just me that thinks it's a bit high....?

my bulb went bad a couple of months back...when i turned the key on, i could hear the ballast make a buzzing sound, so i knew that it was working...so i sent in the bulb with the holder into them and they sent me an email saying the bulb was bad and the holder was fine....the mailed out a new bulb installed in the holder and i was good to go. i only paid for shipping from here to them.

they are wierd to get a hold of. you need to log into your account, choose the product from you past order list and then hit a button some where that asks for warranty claim. that is how they answer. when you get an email from them, you need to log back in to see what their response was.

Main thing I'd change -
Don't use battery for everything -

The main positive battery lead is direct to starter relay -
That's where buss / or fuse box is short lead to -
Then acc added to buss / fuse box.

Ground is any point on the frame.

Using battery - usually leads to trouble -
Hard to organize circuits -
Wires end up in vital area for possible damage -
Battery bolts coming loose - from road shocks easier.
Adding connections gives bolts a bushing to move easier.
Plus the bolts are too short -

It's not that hard to install the HIDs. I like the look they give and honestly, it helps other drivers be more aware. I run em in the daylight too.. Be sure to mount the Ballast correctly and securely so you don't have any loose ends.

Question, I did the install hi/low 55w 6000k unit. All went well, did my measurement on the wall, I was a little closer but was 2" low. Amazed by the light but have kind of a U shape with it. The middle is flat but the ends flare up. I did get flashed by 1 person so far. Not sure why I'm getting such a flare on the edges. The street signs light up a ways away. Any thoughts or ideas would be great.

Thanks
Ben
