Well, I did get those squeaks. I think she didn't want to break my concentration. She didn't quite kiss the ground when she got off at Deals Gap, but I think she was relieved!

Thanks. We plan on traveling a lot of scenic roads in the next week and a half. Part of the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Cherahola Skyway included. Check back for new pics.Congrats! Glad you enjoyed it sir! Nice photo album as well, keep us posted on the rest of the trip!
Ok sure will! It's a GREAT ride! Almost a rite of passage! Certainly true that the "hype" seems to exceed reality. It's a wonderful ride, and you pace yourself at whatever comfort level works for you. I like to casually cruise and take in every moment! Not near as demanding when you cruise casually! We go every year in May...also going this year in late Sept. We always try to take new first timers each time.
Highway 28, Cherohala Skyway, US129, 441 thru Smokey Mountains Natl Park, so many routes... AWESOME riding! Check out Bald River Falls in Telico Plains while you are there!
