When you put a batwing fairing on a VTX 1300, do you need to do work on the front suspension. Reason I ask is because mine and my weight seem to make the front suspension pretty soft. I was wondering if anyone has had to beef theirs up. And if so, what do you do or have done exactly. I'm right at 250 pounds.

I don't know yet. I'm just starting to think about a batwing. I know I'll want radio and speakers though. So there's some extra weight but not that much. All I have now is a clear plex screen and that ain't cutting it.

Haven't noticed any difference with mine...But it's been so long since I've rode without it I don't remember how it rode before...I do know the forks don't bottom out though, even under hard braking...
