scored big today, when i go to Charleston I like to stop by a local steel supplier ( this one is huge with separate areas for the metal, plate, box tubing, channel, expanded) they supply and manufacturer structural steel for buildings and bridges ect, the 'scrap' bins are to drool over, anyway i was there to try to find some metal for the popup toy hauler project, i was guided to different areas to look for what i wanted, 4in channel, 4 in plate 1/8th thick, and what ever. came away with a 6 in wide plate 1/8 x 8ft, 3inflat bar 5/16th x 8 ft and two 10 ft 2in box tubing heavy wall, all in pristine shape, told be to come back as he was going to be cutting some 1/8 on plate, said ho would put it into 4 in wide pieces ask how much i would need (about 40 ft) he said ill cut you some from the scrap left over and put them aside for you, said i could pick them up Monday, and all this for free, and of course i will again check the scrap bins for more treasures.
