Tire shop where I mounted my new tires first time told me 3 times ride easy.
They said a guy came in with a sports bike, two new tires.
He tried to take off like a rocket, the bike ended up across the street at the gas station without him on it after doing several spins on its side.

Alphabet owns Boston Dynamics and Google and a crapton of other companies.
The competitions are cool with all the different designs.

The rig... today was a horsie day! Beautiful, sunny, and warm... but I had such a goog day with wifey :swoon: and Outlaw, that I don't feel bad about missing riding Yankee Siege, today... :glee:

Okay took me bit to figure out that was soap bubbles.
Glad it wasn't worse. Been there done that but it really tore up the tire when I got screwed. Didn't think a plug would hold so I replaced.

Have plug kit but not on bike.
The original plan was to keep plug kit and mini compressor with me to deal with issues but I still haven't bought a little compressor.

Since I can't ride, for now, I'm doing some maintenance and found the source of a rattle I had. It was behind the saddle bag and is keyed with the main key. Must be factory option. Tightened it up and all is good now. And yes it works.

Those are famous for rattling and just falling off.
Odd place for a helmet lock since most people use saddlebags.

It's supposed to be a one way screw but they still loosen somehow I've read about it on here. Mine is tight and quiet so it stays. I throw helmet over sissy bar and run a gun lock thru the loops. Don't need that money walking away.

Is the motion pro tool made just for that particular use on our bikes or for general use

General use I have three outer and three inner pieces. You can buy just the vtx sizes though.

This is what I have...

Before I found out can buy just the one set for cheaper.

I have a 1300 and works fine but 1800 are a b--- to do valves on so I'm not sure if they will fit on all the valve locations.

You put the 10mm part on the lock nut and insert the adjuster holding the knob part. Easy. The knob part is quite large and I don't see any way for that to fall into the engine. I'm not saying they are perfect for all but for me paying attention and being careful the motion pro is 1000x better than fooling with tiny wrenches I can barely hold onto that CAN fall into engine.

I use the ribbon/string/yarn trick learned here... and have had to retrieve like a fisherman on two occasions...
Exactly why I hated the tiny wrenches. Doesn't feel safe with my fat fingers and awkward moving two wrenches without dropping one or both.
Next bike will have self adjusting valves. :p

Hey Jim start a new thread for your riding pics. Those posts will get lost in this busy thread. :)
Looks like a great ride.

Do you guys think if I get one of those gel pads and strap it to the stock seat that I could make it the 600 mls to the tech session?
Bah. Sheep skin for me and I have a mustang seat.

No way riding 600 on stock seat you won't be able to walk after that. 1800 might have better stock seat though. They have better everything else...
