Love that color. It's what first made me lust after a VTX way back when they first appeared in dealer showrooms.
Same with me. When I was looking for bikes back in '03, I had it narrowed down to the Vulcan and the VTX 1300. Honda had the Pearl Orange 1300C on their main page for the 1300 lineup, and i just liked the way it looked. Never even saw one in person...my local dealer had to get mine from another state.

Haha! A friend of mine was out on his Goldwing a few years ago when he turned a tight corner in in a provincial park and came face to face with a massive bull moose. He said he just froze and could feel his heart pounding out of his chest. After a minute or so, the moose just snorted and walked back into the bush, but it could have just as easily went the other way.:ROFLMAO:

Had a great ride today. Went on 160 mile ride with a friend up visiting from FL. We rode through the mountains of NC. We started near Etowah, took back roads to US276 south of Brevard then to East Fork Rd. and back to Brevard to west US64 to north NC215. We took a side road near the top of 215 to 281 to 107 and into Sylva. We stopped for a snack and a beer at Bogarts and then onto US74 East to the BRP. About 50 miles on the BRP to US276 south and then back to Etowah. About 5 hrs to do the 160 miles including the food and other pit stops and photo ops. High temp was 92 at about noon in Sylva and the low was 68 at the high point of the BRP at about 1:00. Looked like rain clouds all day but never a drop on us.

Fishingfoolemjak, We were already planning to ride around the Lake Lure area today so we did a number of the roads you recommended in that area. It was a good ride but pretty hot since most of those roads are at lower elevation. Tomorrow we are going east on the BRP from SW Asheville to at least Little Switzerland and maybe further.

What is a pedal commander?
Eliminates the one second lag of the electronic throttle. Improves the performance a bunch!
