I'm having severe issues right now with my rotator cuff. Massive pain most of the time. Hard as hell to get some sleep.
Two years ago my shoulders started hurting like h.ll. It turned out I had a torn labrum in both shoulders. I am still not sure what caused it, possibly too much 'above the head lifting' while replacing a small balcony in my house. I feared I would never ride again. My ortho guy sent me to some physical therapy group that clearly had no clue as to what to do for me. I wasted six months there until a friend of me mentioned a local 'hand specialist'. I switched provider. Within two weeks I started feeling improvement and it is next week one year ago that I saw her last. I am fine now, did 12,000 miles this year. Yes, there are some things I have to be careful with but my shoulder will tell me when to stop doing dumb things.
Look for help from someone who is specialized in hand/arm/shoulder therapy.

In May, I was in AZ, driving on the main highway at about 70mph. All lanes were packed with traffic, and I hear the sound of a sport bike. I looked over and saw him coming up the on ramp, faster than all the traffic, doing a wheelie. He put it down, and shot off like a rocket, weaving through traffic and out of site in 2 seconds. All I could do was shake my head...

I had a delicious piece of chocolate cake for breakfast. Leftover dessert from Sat. take-out spaghetti dinner from a nearby diner. Best I ever had from them. Good thing, their spaghetti portions, and the included meatballs, seems to be getting smaller. At least they haven't raised prices....yet!

Picked up a project bike because, well, I forgot lol. Honda Shadow 1100 and I think it's a '99. Guy was replacing the clutch parts and then lost interest. I hope I can get it back together without losing my mind. I rode a 750 once and it was a good bike but no soul to speak of. I heard the big brother 1100 has what I want in soul. We will see. I was wanting a bike to make a chopper but I don't think that will happen with this one. Dang. Back to 4 bikes again. At least the girlfriend is cool with it!

When I got back into riding in '09, I bought a neighbor's '97 1100 Shadow Spirit to get used to riding again, and knew it was only going to be a stepping stone. I'm 5'10", and it just felt 'tall' and top-heavy as I was on my toes when stopped. It was well maintained, yet out on the interstate, @ 70-75 it felt like it's limit was reached. I didn't really get into it much to try to improve performance since i knew it was getting replaced. Cobra pipes, so it did sound great! It did run lean too. Pipes discolored.

I'm teaching the gf to ride and she is 5' 7", so not gonna flat foot too many bikes. I'm hoping this bike will fit her good enough so if she drops it no big deal. I lost sleep thinking about her dropping The Beast or my Harleys so this came along at a good time. IF.... I can get it back together first.

Love, like, hate, or ambivalent toward the Ohio State football team, after viewing this, you have to agree the OSU band is incredible:

The script Ohio is awesome and always has been. From the starting rectangle to the way the lines of marchers cross, it is incredible.
