Two years ago my shoulders started hurting like h.ll. It turned out I had a torn labrum in both shoulders. I am still not sure what caused it, possibly too much 'above the head lifting' while replacing a small balcony in my house. I feared I would never ride again. My ortho guy sent me to some physical therapy group that clearly had no clue as to what to do for me. I wasted six months there until a friend of me mentioned a local 'hand specialist'. I switched provider. Within two weeks I started feeling improvement and it is next week one year ago that I saw her last. I am fine now, did 12,000 miles this year. Yes, there are some things I have to be careful with but my shoulder will tell me when to stop doing dumb things.I'm having severe issues right now with my rotator cuff. Massive pain most of the time. Hard as hell to get some sleep.
Look for help from someone who is specialized in hand/arm/shoulder therapy.
