I just stumbled across this wonderful forum filled with great tips frm some really knowledgeable people. I am hoping someone here can help me out. I am extremely busy and travel out of town half the year for my job, so finding time to ride is difficult enough much less finding the time to work on my bike when there is an issue. Nit having the time to work onthe bike myself, I sent to the dealership to have the carb rebuilt and tuned up. It ran great, for about 40 miles. Then it was all I could do to nurse the bike back home and luckily I wasn't too far away. It ran awefull at all speeds and throttle positions and would not idle. I took the carb apart my self this time and cleaned it up and inspected it. I could find no issues with it. All 4 plugs are firing, and it had fresh gas put in it at the dealer. My manual says the throttle position sensor should read between 4K - 6K ohms. It starts at 120 ohms and gets to 4K ohms at full throttle. I just want to double check that I am indeed looking for the correct resisatance in the sensor, before I order a new one. Thanks for any input you may have!
