I just had my 600 mil service on my 1300 ( I had 1400 miles when this was done) and now I have a ticking sound while at idle. This sound was not there until after about 1000 miles. Just want to know if this is normal.

Yes, it's normal to hear a ticking or light knocking sound in the 1300 engine. Your valves were probably a little too tight (most seem to be at the first adjustment/600 mile service). When they were "loosened" to within specs, you are most likely starting to hear some valve noise now, which is a good thing.

Yup, after I adjusted my valves the ticking noise started as well. One of those times when a tick in the motor is a good thing!

RR, man you must have read my mind! I took a long ride today and it was very hot, so I lifted the lense up on my full face helmet and heard a ticking noise......ride is nice, no change, but normally I cant hear anything like that with the helmet closed.....I was concerned, ran it by the dealer who didnt seem to bothered by it....and I get home and here you are, the Kreskin of this site!!!! thanks much!!!!
