Here's the background - I am new to the iPad2 and about average from a technical standpoint (on a PC not an Apple product). I do not Facebook, Tweet, Blog, MySpace or whatever the new 'social media' is. My wife and I are going on a 2 week road trip and our families and friends would like to 'follow us' on our journey. Since Apple is not Photobucket and Forum friendly, what is the best, easiest, cheapest way to accomplish this?

Before answering, keep in mind that our 'followers' are about 75% PC users, so we have to be both Apple and PC friendly. Further, about half are even less tech savvy than I am so the solution HAS to be simple.

I know that I'm asking for a lot, but what the hell. Gotta start somewhere :D

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

What do you mean not Apple friendly. Use photobucket to post to this forum from my iMac, MacMini, MacBook, iBook and iPad.

Just wondering why yours is unfriendly...

Use the iPad to Skype also. Worked great for kids, grandkids and friends to communicate with my Mother-in-law while she was in the hospital. They posted pictures to different picture sites that she accessed.

Well tapa talk is a forum app for the apple products. Twitter also has an app. You have email on there, so just email everyone. You will be surprised how great that iPad it. I have one and use it for everything. Drop box is another great app that is windows and Mac friendly. drop some notes and pictures and they could see it as guests.

When those fail. Start a fire and use the iPad as a fan for smoke signals.

How do you upload your pics to Photobucket? when I open it up on my iPad, there is no "upload" button like there is on my PC :kidding:

ROFLMAO.....Someone else just mentioned Drop Box to me. I will look that up. It sounds like everyone will have to download that on to their computer, but that shouldn't be too difficult. Got a wide range of family members....

setup a free wordpress site.

I'm sure there is a FREE wordpress app.

Wordpress is a Blog, but just delete it after your trip.
Can you post pics to wordpress?
