Planning a trip on the VTX to Columbia mid July to see a good friend of mine (non biker). Have done this many times in the cage always 95 to 26. Looking at RTE 321 from 95. Need input good road? speed limit? will it take forever using this road? is 321 worth the ride? A stopping place for a beer/food?? Any input would be appreciated.

It will add about an hour to your trip. there are a dozen or so small towns that you will pass thru and the sped limit will drop to 35 mph. Nice ride but really no place to stop for food/drink other than the towns of Allendale or North.

correct, although mileage wise it is a tad bit shorter, time wise it will to the trip....mainly treed areas and farm land. i don't mind the back roads, sometimes it's nice just to see some different farm land

I like 321 myself... Nice slower pace... and a little more interesting stuff to look at...
