Turn Signal questions

Hello everybody, I have a 2002 VTX1800c. I've quite bit on the lights here and other forums. I have all LEDs on the turn signal and a flasher installed.

Rear Left turn signal doesn't blink and front left is out. I just got replacement ones today. While troubleshooting I found the Blue wire coming out of an Orange box that is not sending the flash signal or brake, just stays on. Blue wire converts to orange that leads to the left turn signal. Looks accurate to the wiring diagram. The turn signal does light on the cluster.

Does anyone know what the orange box is called or part number? I'm suspecting this to be to culprit as of right now.

Right turn signal does flash but makes both the left and right flash. I've read that I need to install a diode resistor to prevent flood back current. Oddly enough, the turn signal indicator doesn't turn on if I use the right side. Not sure what that could be yet.

Is the orange thing just a cover?? An add-on?? Maybe a 1800 rider can add info..
Look at the wiring??
With all leds, you need to use a very low current flasher. From a few milliamps to amps range.

You need two diodes to isolate the single indicator..

Thank you replying, I actually saw that write up on Diodes from one of your reply on an old thread. I ordered them last night.

There's already one of those flasher relays installed. That orange box is solid and has wires coming out of it. I can't find it anywhere. I was reading online last night came across a thread were they were talking about a 9 pin plug. I think at some point someone cut out the pin and installed this orange box. The color coding doesn't match OEM wiring.

I found this write up and I'm going to try to bypass the orange box.
