When I bought my bike (06 VTX1300R) it had an HK Sideburner on it. WAY LOUD. So I replaced it with a set of factory pipes that I picked up on the net. Well they are WAY QUIET, too quiet.
A friend of mine had a 750 Shadow ACE a few years back that had the V&H Cruzers on it. I liked how it sounded. Not too loud (keep the neighbors happy at 1am, but not nearly as quiet as the stockers.
Question is this. The set on the ACE are the only ones I have herd. I was wondering if anyone here had them on their 1300R and their impressions. Second question is with their length is there any problem with them putting too much heat on saddle bags ( I am putting on hard bags as soon as the snow flies.).

I have V&H cruzers on my 06 1300c and like them a lot. They will give a throaty bark if you get on them, and have a "big block" rumble under normal use. They do not have that tinny blat sound you get from some pipes. I've gotten a lot of compliments on their sound from guys who don't pass out warm fuzzies just to make conversation, so I guess their rumble is appealing to more than just my ears. The fit was perfect, and the quality of the components was well above average. The price for these pipes is a really good cost for value in my opinion. They have never caused heat issues for my passenger or my bags. There are pictures in my photo album here if you'd like to get an idea of height and where they sit on the bike once installed. :coffee: Best of luck. D Day

I also have these on mine. When it came down to choosing between the V&H Cruzers and Cobra Slashcuts, I did not like the spacing between the end pipes on the Cobras. Very happy with both appearance and sound on the V&H Cruzers. Loud when you want them to be and nice rumble when you don't. Saddle bags on mine and heat isn't a problem. (Need to update my pic)
