Easier is the key word,on my X &wifes X along with the 1100 Sabre,I have some from here. Changed them out when I got new tires and powder coated my wheels. The new valves stems make it much easier to check and fill the tires.

I guess the days of the $5.00 stem are gone.Do i want to spend $60.00 for 3 bikes because its such a PITA to air up.i've done it on a couple of bikes, but because i wish not to do my own tire work, i don't remember the price (as i haven't done it on either of the 2 i have now), and each time i've done it, i've had the tire shop do it....wish i could remember the price but i would say anywhere between 10-20 bucks should be ok??? wish i could tell you for sure

Ya your right easier is better.:cheers:yeah, i also think those days are gone...not a bad price i assume on those from the other website which falls in line with the price i went withbetween 10-20. it seems like they charged me 12 a piece for mine when i had them changed...i'm all for easier, for sure...question is will it be worth it in the long run? for me, i gotta say sure...LOL
I did hear the same thing the centrifugal force issue .The back stem is suported with that do dad thingie ,so for the front i will go with medal instead of alumimum,or rubber.Just throwing this out there, but I thought I read somewhere that the angled valve stems had breakage issues if they were not supported properly. I believe it was a centrifugal force issue on the valve which caused the failure. I would be interested to know if anyone has used them and whether or not they've had problems. The 1800R is a pain in the a$$ to check the pressure and put air in.
i've ran the aluminum right angle for i have no clue how many years and have never had a problem....after 22 years of hauling between legal gross weight of 80,000lbs upward to near a 1/2 million lbs on the super loads and 21 axle units, i have never had problems with those either...maybe i'm just lucky, but my kawi has aluminum right angle on front and back with no issues....Just throwing this out there, but I thought I read somewhere that the angled valve stems had breakage issues if they were not supported properly. The valve stems as i read the description are race approved,so cant see that a motorcycle would have a issue.i've ran the aluminum right angle for i have no clue how many years and have never had a problem....after 22 years of hauling between legal gross weight of 80,000lbs upward to near a 1/2 million lbs on the super loads and 21 axle units, i have never had problems with those either...maybe i'm just lucky, but my kawi has aluminum right angle on front and back with no issues....
Thats what im thinking, just going to be a PITA puting them on.Lot easier to maintain pressure Ross. Wishing you well.
I have done this before. DO NOT get the angle stems that are flexible at the rim. I did the first time and from the g forces and vibration and so forth it ended up breaking right at the rim and leaking down. I replaced them the next time with the solid kind. They are rigid and clamp together on the rim. I've had them on the X for several years now and have them on the wing too. Never had a problem yet. Two pennies.Looking at changing out straight stock valve stems with right angle stems,$20.00 a stem, anyone do this?is this a good price?
Thanks!
No reasn to clarify ,like you said you not be educated.:stirpot:Just kidding my friend.:hmm2:nam, i do want to clarify my statement about not doing the valve change on either of the 2 bikes i have now and the other statement about the kawi having them on it....i didn't do it on the kawi, they were on it when i bought it and the suzi doesn't have the angle valves on it and it's a pain for sure...i just felt the need to clarify that![]()
