Very successful First Annual ALS Charity Ride

I have to say, the First Annual ALS Charity ride that happened on November 14 went off without a hitch. There were 27 riders on 23 bikes, and along with the raffled off items (7 tee shirts, two bike detailing certificates as grand prizes), ride registrations, and just plain donations, we raised $550 for ALS. That put the event over goal of $1,500 by sevety five bucks.

Thanks all who donated online. I don't think anyone from this forum made the ride, but your dollars to the cause are greatly appreciated.

The ALS Association of San Diego was thrilled with the outcome, and next year they want to back me with more advertising and more items to raffle. I'll take some time off and then get started on next year's ride. Meanwhile if anyone knows of helmets, tee shirts, or other generalized MC paraphenalia that I can get for a donation, I'll be collecting it in advance. The raffle tickets were very well recieved by the group.
