Can anybody tell me if it's possible to install a 2005 VTX 1300 seat on a VTX Custom? Are the seats the same?Any info is much appreciated!!

Going to need more info.
The seats are specific to models R,S,T are the same. F, and C are different.
By Custom do you mean a C?

The C stands for custom but we need to know both models in order to answer your question.

It is possible to put a seat of an 1800C on to a 1300C, with some modification. The 1300 C takes a different seat then a 1300 R or S though. Many here upgrade the torture device known as the 1300C seat, I went with mustang. Others prefer Ultimate, or Saddleman, or having there stock seat modified by our artisan members such as, Robert Doer, or Mean City Cycles. There's many paths to take, Give us more information and I'm sure we will able to give you some more targeted advice.

Yes i have an R model.Replaced the seat with a Mustang.Guy interested in buying it wants to know if it will fit on a C model.

No the R seat will not work on a C model, don't sell it to him.

yes is the answer, it is not a direct swap but if you have the mounting rails from the R you and put them on the C seat to make it fit, and vise versa. I wouldnt suggest it but I have done it. I wanted a solo seat, I wound up buying a 2nd C seat and chopping it up. its much better but still not a mustang or other brand
