Yesterday I did the lawn then pulled the bike out to clean some of the winter riding grime off.

Pulled the seats and took a little time (not enough) I found one of my highway peg bolts loose so tightened and the piece of Kury crap broke on me so now I have an added washer and the broken piece tightened up so it won't move.

Then I went for a short ride.

Today I did a little more on it and hit some of the spots I missed yesterday then went for a 40 mile ride.
Got home and left in the drive while I messed around inside, something sounded different and I look out and yep it is freaking raining again and looks like I will once again be going to work on the bike in the rain.

This crap of not hitting 70 and rain is for the birds everyday we are 10 to 15 degrees below our avg. temps

I suppose it could be worse but damn I want 80+ to enjoy a ride in.

we have had a few days in the high 60s and a few in the 70s
It rained on me last Monday but the rest of the week was great 45 on the way to work and mid 50 to mid 60 on the way home.

We have only had 6 months in a row with 1 inch or more above normal rain fall.

Guys north of me have had it even worse.

Minus the rain I would love to have the temps in 70’s. It has been 95 deg plus for the last two an half weeks here with only scattered showers late in the evening.
Heat index at mid day is 102 deg with humidity in the 80% range.

When you have to stop for a red light at a intersection the heat coming off the engine combined with the temps is miserable.

When riding the air is so hot it feels like your facing into a convection oven.

Just 106°+ today. 20 MPH winds.

Rode the little John Deere tractor today doing the second mowing of the year. Just mowing mostly around the trees where they have been watered and the excess water has been sucked up by the grass. 6 hours in the heat not fun but it has to be done.

Didn't dare get on the bike today. Did about 50 miles last night around 8:30 or so. Still 91° after a high of 103° but it was pleasant enough with the sun almost down and a little breeze. Wonderful to pass one of the huge circular sprinklers - temp drops 10-15° for a few hundred yards.

WE NEED RAIN. All you can spare and even what you can't...

Are both the Kury peg bolts right handed? Mine are and one wanted to loosen when I put my foot on it. Put a bunch of blue loctite on it=problem solved. You'd think they were smarter than that. Should have a right and left hand threaded bolt.

Hey Charlie D., I totally feel your pain! I'm up in the Portland area and I just don't understand why we can't get a break. This weather just stinks! I no longer have a car and just have the X so I'm riding rain or shine. This morning was rain yet again on the way in. Oh well, I guess it's just prepairing me for the winter riding!

Temps are getting better though so wet isn't to bad.

The wet and 40 out really suck though
