I will be here buy Mylilpony will be dragonboating in Hungary so I will be batch'n it. I will also be riding north from Asheville to get there so folks coming from the south, let me know if and where I can join up with you.

Awesome. Count on it. What route do you take - I26 W to I81N to Marion, VA where you pick up Rt16 (back of the dragon) to Tazewell, and then stay on Rt. 16 all the way into Welch? This is about 4.5 hrs of saddle time for me coming from just west of Hendersonville and the ride on I26 north from Asheville to I81 is spectacular. Or are there ways you prefer which skip the interstates? I suppose you could run the BRP from Asheville to a bit east of Boone (e.g. the intersection with US421), take 221 north to Rt. 16 and then into Marion and on to Welch. This would be 6.5 hrs of saddle time.I’ll be headed up Friday, I’ll ride with ya Jim!
I'll make the reserve later, Rick, if you want to continue like we did.I haven't even put my bike up on the stand for this winters repairs yet. I still have fixoflat in the rear tire from Des Moines in November. I'm sure I'll be there just to early to reserve anything yet.
Whatever way you want to go is fine with me!!!! Last time I took 81 and met up with Baker6x6 in Marion... probably do something like that again... or we can head north east and meet up with them that direction.... or go another direction all together!! Just wanna ride!!Awesome. Count on it. What route do you take - I26 W to I81N to Marion, VA where you pick up Rt16 (back of the dragon) to Tazewell, and then stay on Rt. 16 all the way into Welch? I'm partial to the I26W to I81N to Marion where we pickup Rt. 16 all the way to Welch. 4.5 hrs of saddle time plus stops and lunch makes for an easy day. Might be 15 minutes longer for you to get to I26 than me but still an easy day with time for stops. We definitely should meet up with any others coming this way on Friday.Whatever way you want to go is fine with me!!!! We usually come up from Freeborne's... meeting there at 11am and KSU at 12... Have several routes before and after The BOD ... but always do the section from Marion to Tazewell. I think we hit Marion around 1pm.I'm partial to the I26W to I81N to Marion where we pickup Rt. 16 all the way to Welch. 4.5 hrs of saddle time plus stops and lunch makes for an easy day.
