It's a Radar mount. I am going to use it for mounting my GPS (Garmin 276C). I have found the mate to the fog light/lightbar accessory plug in the headlight housing so now I am ready to get this GPS set up.

Buettner,

On using the plug, keep in mind that Honda wired the plug to turn off the light bar when the headlight was on high beam. It only works on low beam, for reasons of their own.

So, using the plug as is will shut off your added device when on high beam. There is a fix, cutting the blue wire to the plug. See the tech section, http://tech.vtxoa.com, for the complete writeup.

As a suggestion, since you'll be into the headlight assembly anyway, solder up and install the turn signal beeper and cutoff as described in that tech section. Easy, and they work great. The green wire to the plug is the ground wire, by the way.

Good luck.

SilverVTX,
With my power cord, it only requires two of the three terminals. I plan on pulling the blue terminal out of the Male connector that will power my GPS, this will result in the same effect as cutting the blue wire without making any changes to the OEM wiring. (This is what I was looking for when I was searching for the plug). I am able to remove and solder to the terminals inside of the male connector this will help to minimize any additional splicing.

I will work on taking pictures once I have my GPS wired in to the bike.
