Grey and dirty what you cleaning whit?
Westley's 'Bleche-white' always worked on my car tires with the raised white lettering. Just make sure anything you use is thoroughly rinsed off. I had pitting along the beads of my mag wheels that led to losing air, all due to using an acid based cleaner. At the time I was using Eagle One tire products.

I will echo PaXman11's recommendation for Westley's Bleche-white. I used this on the white walls on a bike I used to have and it worked GREAT. The specific process that worked best for me was to lightly wet the wheels with water, spray the white wall area with the Bleche-white, wait ~2 minutes, spray again with the Bleche-white, wait another two minutes, scrub with a stiff bristled brush, and rinse VERY thoroughly. I would then inspect for any portions remaining dirty and spot treat those.

Loved the look, hated the maintenance. Replaced with Black

I love the look of white walls but only on spoke wheels. I agree the need to wash them frequently sucks.
