Hey guys, well it's a big breakthrough for me today. My wife has never riden with me (Although I have only had the bike for a couple of months) I told my wife I was going to GP Bikes (In Ajax Ontario) today and she wanted to come. We left with a new riding jacket and helmet for her. She is finally going to come along. Now it certianly is nice to ride alone, but I figure she can't complain about me going on long trips if she is with me. So maybe a nice long trip to the USA is coming soon. Now all I need is Nana to stay for a couple of weeks with the little one and a tee shirt with the words "IF YOU CAN READ THIS THE BITCH FELL OFF" written on the back.

Yes, it can be fun to have the wife (or girlfriend for some of us) along to share in the experience ofthe ride. Going places two up is a fine way to bond even closer.
Now, about that t-shirt....:spank:

My wife likes to go as much as I do. Makes it real easy to plan rides. We spend a lot of time together in the saddle and love every minute of it.

its a good feeling to have her along (i know) - pretty soon you'll feel guilty cause you left her behind and then have to ride some more when you come back and pick her up. soon you'll get 'oh look at that' (sometimes repeatedly) - followed by 'yes dear - not right now i'm trying to drive'. the extra eyes make a difference in so many ways.

You could get yourself that shirt and then get your wife the shirt that mine decided to buy " IF YOU CAN READ THIS THE BASTARD HASN'T THROWN ME OFF YET" or the other one my wife has " THIS BITCH DOESN'T FALL OFF". She gets some comments on those shirts.

I hear ya.. my wife never cared for motorcycles all these years and one day I talked her into taking a quick ride with me.

Now she's got leathers and helmet.. ordered boots.. and I can't keep her off the bike anymore. :hmm2:

My wife loves to ride with me. Sunday at about 4:00 see realized she needed contact solution. She said "we" need to run get it, which meant lets ride, so off we went. 20 miles round trip took 2 hours.

Yeah, since my wife has been riding with me I dont like to go on the long trips without her. Its nice having her on the back. We got the Scala Rider Team set so we can chat along the way. Since we've been using headsets there is no going back to not having one, EVER.

I must admit though one time she got to complaining a little too much on the way home from a long long ride (500+miles) and I reached up and turned my headset off lol. That earned me a smack in the back of the helmet and I turned it back on quickly. Sometimes quiet is what the doctor ordered but it is still way better with the headset.

Being single, I've had many a girls on the back. The good news is, when you go pick up a new girl you've gotten her to wrap her legs around ya in the first 5 minutes which leaves little argument to go just a tad further 2 hours later. My N always get's the girls.

I remember somebody asking me one time if we were gonna get those headsets....I said..."If I wanted to sit and talk to her, I'd stay home on the couch"....Almost spent that night SLEEPING on the couch....But she knows my sense of humor, and got over it pretty quick...

You're gonna love having her ride along. I can't go anywhere without my wife hopping on the back and going with me. I can't remember that last time I rode alone. We have matching Tourmaster coats and helmets. She looks for places to go as much as I do. A week ago her step mom gave her this book,

http://www.amazon.com/Sunday-Rides-Two-Wheels-Motorcycling/dp/0299184544

I've barely been able to get it out of her hands. She can't wait to map a route from it and go. Our favorite trip for a morning....a 40 minute ride to get a cup of coffee. We sit on the deck of the shop out back and watch the motorcyles go by...it's right on a main road for the HD riders going to a HD shop in the next town. Always makes for a great day...then we get the 40 minute ride home. Great way to waste a morning.

My wife loves admiring all the different bikes. Every time she hears one she is looking to see what it is and how it looks. Get this......the other day she tells me, "Bikes are my porn". How cool is that. Bikes are her "porn".....sweet.

Someone mentioned to be careful cause the wife may want her own bike....will never happen here....she hates driving the car and has never conquered a stick shift anyway. Till theres a cool looking cruiser with auto tranny she will never be tempted to ride (I know the Ridley exists but the break too much and cost too much...not an option.)
