Is there anyway to buff out scratches in your windshield. Can I use 2000 grit wet sandpaper? I have a National Cycle Chopped in light smoke. Had an accident few weeks ago and just can't afford to buy a new shield right now. Thanks for the input.

I've taken light scratch (can just feel them with a fingernail) out with 3M rubbing/finish liquid compound. It took a few attempts but the scratches did come out.

Novis polish will do it if it's not to deep.

I've taken out some fairly deep scratches with Plast-X scratch remover. Think it is made by Maguires. It may take several applications and some elbow grease. It's basically the same stuff used to polish cloudy car headlight lenses. It's worth a try for a few bucks.

You have to polish out scratches. The 2000 grit will make things hazy but may be a necessary step depending on how deep the scratches are. I have used Meguires for a good many years witrh great success. They make a scratch remover and a polish. they do take a lot of rubbing.

I called National Cycle. They recommended Novis.
