I am installing a Howards Horn on my 2002 1800C
The hot wire that I thought was wired thru a light / key switch fryed its way to the battery when I let it touch ground. The hot wire going to the input (30/51) to the horn relay was wired directly to the battery with no fuse. I am definitely not an electrician but the Cylmer wiring diagram shows the hot wire should be going to a juction but it does not clearly indicate where that junction is. Maybe the hot to the turn signal switch. I need little help to know where to run the hot wire to avoid another meltdown mental and physical.
Thanks for you consideration

You are correct "Charlie D"
The low amperage original horn was wired to the turn signal hot wire, I was installing a Howards Horn to the original horn and WOLO horn.
The wire to the signal hot is too small to carry the amperage draw of three horns.
I ran a new hot wire from the battery to the horn relay with a fuse in between.
Now three horns VERY loud and will get your attention if not give you a heart attack!
I was lucky the old hot short did not fry into any other wiring.
Thanks for your input!

I do 3 also - and they all were altered in position to only face forward -
vs straight into the pavement - which is why they blow your ears off - vs go down range to get deer and terrorists out of the way.

The stock horn is facing down, The Wolo is on the right on top of the triple tree behind the windshield facing down, out of the way but effective. I thought the standard and Wolo were loud.
I picked up (stole) a slightly used Chrome Howards Horns Duo with protective covers online for $75.00. I mounted them on the left side of the cylinders facing forward. Wow ...sick loud is an understatement. Each horn has its own perticular frequency. The first time I hit the horns it surprised me, scared the hell out of my wife and all the dogs within two blocks started barking. The next person to pull out in front of me will get a big surprise. Loud pipe and louder horns.
