Am wiring an audio system (cycle sounds series 2) to my 06 1800N. I opened the headlight and noticed there is a 3 prong female connector not being used. I assume this for a light bar. It's to the right in the picture.

Can I wire the power and ground wires to this connector? If so, which is power and which is ground. The picture below is of the wiring for the audio system. If I take off the O ring connector on the ground wire, can I plug these wires into the receptacles on the harness. Again, if so, which is power and which is ground?

Thanks for the help.

You can but I won't.
I'm too lazy to get up right now and walk out to my (below zero) garage and look up the schematic.
Anyway is that cycle sound system like 150 watts? For that I would run a fresh fused line.

I'm not a wiring guy.

So I guess the point is, what is the safest wire (anywhere for that matter) to splice and draw power?

The instructions (which suck) state the "accessory wire" - I've looked at a schematic and don't see such a wire.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Check Here:

There is a selection off to the left for an accessory lead and it describes how to find it. I wired up a terminal strip under the seat with 4 outputs from that. It is switched power (as it should be). Good luck!

THe cycle sounds audio system is 100 watts on the amplifier. Still a problem?
Actually there are 3 amps for the vtx being offered.
200 watt, 150 watt, and 100 watt

I prefer to use the accessory plug under the seat as a trigger. It has a 30 amp fuse so add 1 inline for the system with a relay. I added a pigtail on mine for 3 connections. All of which are used only for triggers with a relay.
Presently using a gps, and my radio for my fairing with a extra if I ever need it.
