Woman Thrown From Motorcycle
A woman was killed when she was thrown from a motorcycle on I-85 near the Gaston County line on Monday night.
The accident occurred when a truck traveling southbound on I-85 lost its load of cable wires. The driver of the bike swerved to avoid the cable and the passenger was thrown from the bike.
Ashley Raymer, 25, was thrown from the bike and then run over by a tractor-trailer. She died at the scene. The highway patrol has not said if charges will be filed against the truck driver.
