Hi all!

I finally have the cash to purchase a Zumo, Now I can get lost with confidence that I can at least aim for the next gas station or tell road side where I am.

I'm torn between the 550 (cheap) and the 660 - kinda what I want after talking to the Garmin sales rep last January. It's just that the Garmin website doesn't do jack for explaining the differences in how it interacts with things like blue tooth, etc, etc.

It''ll be great to see a speed indication without having to look down with my full face helmet. I also want it to play MP3 as my Sony won't give the volume, IE: Disturbed sounds like radio static at 45 mph.

I am running the Cardo Scala Q2 multi-set and am hoping you can at least get turn by turn directions without being strangle with a wire, but I need your folks feedback on this.

Otherwise, I already tun 2 other Garmin Nuvis in our cages, so operation is very similar.

The 2 units are just so close, short of lane assist I don't know which one to order. The only one I've seen is the HD model so who knows what that is.

Thanks!

I don't have any experiance with the Zumo but I really like the Nuvi 550 that I have mounted on my bike and love the fact that it is waterproof as well. I have ran it thru several rain storms and never had a problem.

Here is a chart that compare the Nuvi and the Zumo

Here is chart that shows the differences in the Zumo 550 and Zumo 660

I hope that this helps.

I have a Nuvi 660 for the car and want to mount it on the bike. The car mount is suction cup to windshield. Of course that won't work for bike. Marty, Big X and anyone else, how did you mount to your bike? I was wondering if I could order a mount from garman for MC and put my head on the stem, hope that makes sense. Thanks for any help from all.

RAM Mount
I'll dig up the link now.

Here is the link

Look around you will find a lot of ideas how to use different ones

I got a really cool cradle that I got on Amazon let me look for that....
While I can't find the cradle that I bought mine (nuvi 550) it had a plug that hard wired into the bike then the cradle held the plug in the back of the GPS unit while it was set in cradle.

here are some more RAM ideas

My wife seen Big-X's 550 on the trip to the Falls and we had to go out and get one this week. It's great, easy to read and navigate through the menus.
