Exhaust Tip Question KM-243

Hello! I have V&H Big Shots and they didn't have tips on them so I ordered some sweet Kewlmetal Curved tips KM 243. The issue is that the install instructions said to use the original hardware from the old tips. Uh, Ithere lies my problemo. So I went to Home Depot and found a screw for each tip that would work. I used locktite and they are tight now, but I'm worried my $200 tips are going to fly off. Locktite breaks down after a few hundred degrees and I read that JB weld won't work either. Thoughts? Am I being paranoid? Anyone else have these tips or advice?

Put a lock washer under the screws.

I can see the concern about losing expensive tips, but,, aren't the 'existing hardware' bolts only held in place by friction? (as in 'tight')

Ive had the tips for 4 or more years never lost one .. no loctite on them either
