So I bought new handlebar 10" mini ape hangers and add to that 1" 1/4 more with the risers, this to intall on me 2006 1800F. I am concerned that my brake lines are not long enough for the new set. I have looked all over the place and I can seem to find any other option but to buy new brake lines which is apparently gonna cost me double if what I paid for the handlebars and risers together . I'm sure a lot of people here has done this modification or similar, is it possible to extend the stock brake lines or am I stuck with having to spend $300 on new ones?

I don't think they can be extended. On a 1300, they are much cheaper to buy longer new ones. I have heard that because of the dual front caliper on the 1800 and the fact that there is some kind of joining block under the front triple tree that new longer front lines on an 1800 are more expensive.

OK, great, so anyone here knows of a site or a place I can find longer brake lines for a VTX 1800F1?. I am ready to accept the reality of things and buy new lines but I can't really find a place where they would sell longer lines. I am not installing 14" apes so they have to be longer. PLEASE HELP!

Pardon my intrusion. You will likely not get an answer to a 8 month old post, let alone an 8 yr. one. That being said, the F and the C are similar in some things, I believe their handlebars would be one of them. For the C, you can go with a 6" max riser w/o having to replace cables or hoses. May have to relocate or re-direct, but not replace. As these machines are no longer made for 15 or more years, parts availability is getting harder. I bought my '03 C in 2011, and at THAT time, there were 2 major types, brands available. The Aeromach was a round stock riser, what we used to call dogbone-style back in the day, and Rivco, made from a rectangular stock. I went with the Rivco's, and they still look great. Really took the strain off the arms, shoulders, upper back by not having to reach as much. At that time they were around $140-ish, so IDK what they might be now. GL with your search.
