It will cause no more problem than the current set-up. What matters is whether or not you run the light bar through a relay not whether the lightbar wire has a switch. You should be running the lightbar power through a relay to take some of the load off the circuit running through your starter button.

My switch quit on me, so I went to Napa and bought a sealed toggle and put it in the place of the original, it works good.
