I'm not sure if this is normal for this product but I have bought and installed new Tsukayu strong bags. The bags have a strong chemical smell inside of them. I have had these bags for approximately a month already and the smell is still there. I have tried to air them out and have used scented carpet cleaner. The smell is still there. Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and if this is normal. Most of all, will this smell will go away? :hmm2:

I bought the VTX specific bags and the smell was there too. To me, it smelled like maybe the adhesive used for the carpet and weatherstrip. It was strong at first but now it is almost gone. I have had them since last August...hope this helps.

To be totally serious for a second. When we had a semi trailer with a funky smell, coffee! for a 53 ft trailer one of the big cans, spread it thru the whole thing close the doors, 24 hours later, smell gone! might want to try it??

There are a few things you can do.

(as above) coffee.. get the cheapest coffee grounds, and sprinkle them inside the bags.

Or... Baking Soda... carpet powder...

After a week or so, vaccum it out.
