I had just changed my battery and shortly afterwards my bike was running on on cylinder. Only the right rear jug is firing, pull the plug wires on the other 3 and no change. I tried the wiggle test on the harness and it ran good for a moment. Took the wire harness apart and did not find any breaks. Looking for some help

There is a break inside the insulation on one of the wires in the harness. Green and black wires are the usual suspects. You can use a couple of sewing needles or pins and some wire clip leads to make insulation piercing probes to find out where the break is.

Bigdaddy1, What do you mean by "harness"? Do you mean the bundle of multicolored wires that enter the ECM which is located on top of the battery box? If so, then frizzgrig's suggestion sounds like a very good possibility. On the other hand, your discussion mentions plugs so there is a possibility you are referring to the wires in and around the spark plugs and coils. If these are the wires you mean by "harness", then the black and green wires leading to the ECM are less likely to be involved.

G'day,

Vinish

Yes, the wire harness to the ecm. I replaced a battery just prior to the issue. Once I wiggled the wire loom the problem went away for a short while. So its safe to assume there may not be a break in the insulation, but the wire itself? I will do some continuity tests.
