Sorry... can't help. I've never needed to stick anything to a little otter but I'd likely use really strong tape or maybe Velcro 'cause pins hurt!

:icon_eek:

Never mind.

Reds Cotter pin Emporium. :D
Jeff, on your way down to Bassdude's why don't you stop there and pick me up a couple of tiny cotter pins. It's the least you can do to repay me for preventing you from losing your trunk lid. Thanks.

G'day,

Vinish

Necessity is the mother of invention. Thats probably why many of us men are packrats: we tend to hang onto junk because we never know when we might need it.
And everytime I use an item of "Useless shit" as Jen likes to call it, I look straight at her, and say "And this is why I keep stuff like this around...I WILL need it someday"....Then I get the "whatever" eye roll thing....lol...

OK. here goes. about 10 years ago our water heater failed.. removed all the parts.. put into Box.

Christmas Eve of 2011 house furnace quit. was going to remove thermocouple from working water heater to fix furnace and then REMEMBERED old water heater parts.

where else was I to get a thermocouple at 6pm on Christmas Eve... and it was 21 degrees outside.

Yeah. Y'all know what I was talkingabout. I have lived at my home here since '78, when I put in 2 dusk-to-dawn pole lights to cross-illuminate the back of the yard. I replaced both over the years for diff. reasons. Kept them, of course, for "parts". One of our frequent wind storms blew a branch into the plastic light cover, but didn't break the bulb. I, of course, had a SPARE! Wooo hooo. I'm batting 1 for 1,000!

Last years tech session...Gonz had his fairing apart, trying to fix something inside (radio or something) and needed a small piece of foam to cure a vibration issue he had going on...I turn to my bench, grab a piece and ask "Will this work??"..He says "Perfect!!!"...I look at Jenny and tell her, "That's why I keep this crap around"...And yes, I still have more of it...lol...

If all else fails and you cant find one, use a length of stainless aviation/mechanics wire. Im pretty sure the 18ga. stuff is the right size. I keep a small roll (about 10 feet) in my bag. Its a nice thing to have for that "just in case" moment.
